Pitiful smile media is a Queer, POC owned multimedia arthouse who willfully dares to be bold, quirky and stand out.
Conceptualized in 2001, Sherritta Allen wanted to create a safe haven for content that a person like her can enjoy. Not just a person who is melanated or floating about on the LGBTQ+ spectrum. But, eccentric, lively, and unapologetically creative.
Even now, we see shows on various streaming services that resonate with individuals like us, get canceled every month. We are here to be that platform that creates that content and NOT let our fans feel stranded in the ocean of content that doesn't spark joy in their hearts.
It's been said that, "If you want to do something right, you gotta do it yourself."
We heard the message, and we're doing just that.
So far, we've made webcomics and even collaborated with Primetime Games to inoculate some fun video games.
